Stone Mosaic Tiles

In ancient Mesopotamia craftsmen cut stone to create the tiny pieces of tesserae that made up the earliest mosaics. Those used on walls were shaped and raised fractionally, to catch the ever-changing quality of light, and add beauty and interest to a surface that might otherwise be plain - or sometimes irregular.

Cut and then softened by the action of tumbling amongst harder stones, the Venetian-style mosaics are still hand-set in the traditional ways of early craftsmen. Plain or patterned, stone mosaics are extraordinarily versatile and can add beauty, colour and interest to virtually any wall or floor in any part of your home, whether it's contemporary or traditional in style.
