Here in the UK the colours of autumn are having their final brilliant display. It’s a reminder of how natural colours work so well together, and can be used to create a style that is timeless and beautiful.
One way to incorporate autumnal shades into your décor is by using natural materials such as stone for tiling. Here are a few examples to inspire you from our Earthworks Collection:
- Our terracotta tiles are handmade in Spain from natural clays and look stunning in a conservatory, kitchen or hallway. Their autumnal tones of reds, yellows and gold add warmth and a homely feel to a room.
- Create cosy interiors by introducing natural colours with floor tiles made from slate, travertine or marble. Don’t worry about your room being cold however, as natural stone is suitable to use with underfloor heating.
- Different surface finishes have different characteristics: highly polished wall tiles will reflect light – marble is a good example. Honed means the tiles are soft and smooth to the touch and suitable for bathroom flooring as well as walls. Flamed granite has a textured and slightly roughened finish has low slip potential which makes it ideal for floors in interior porches, halls, boot rooms and kitchens.
